Welcome to the Krynauw family. We provide family information for the purposes of the close relatives and descendants of Pieter Hendrik Johannes Krynauw, born 26 June 1861. The direct line of his descent is described, but for the sake of coherence and interest, additional details are also provided.
History
Background regarding the Krynauw family name and the origin of the ancestors is discussed. The ancestor is Daniel Kreinow (b. 1670) who came to the Cape from Grabow in Germany in 1707. He married Jeanne Jourdan

The Family tree is not complete with regard to all Krynauws. The compilers unfortunately have limited information on some Krynauw families in South Africa, but trust that this website will serve as a tool to supplement the records.
